Challenger Skills Development Program |
Mon, Jan 16, 2012
Challenger Sports is delighted to again offer its popular Skill Development Program in partnership with BISA this Spring. The eight-week program will be at the Burleson Soccer Complex running Monday March 19th through Monday May 7th (May 14th will be set aside as a ‘rain-out’ make up week). The Challenger Sports Skill Development Program (part of Challenger’s Internationally recognized Academy) provides weekly training, conditioning and skill development for players within your Association. Professional Challenger Coaches will provide players, 5 through 14 years of age, with advanced instruction and training to help them participate or compete at a higher level. Each player will take part in Technical, Tactical and Physical training sessions that will sharpen skills, improve decision making and increase speed and fitness. All participants will receive FREE access to www.thechallengerway.com so they can continue their Skill Development throughout the year! To find out more and to register please go to register.challengersports.com and then search for a Skills Development Program or call Nick Rundell on 469-713-2737. This program does sell out so register now to avoid disappointment!
Thanks in advance. |

| Inclement Weather Rules |
Tue, Oct 26, 2010
We play soccer in the rain, we play soccer when it's cold, we play soccer when the fields are open. If it is raining and the fields are open, players need to go to their games. The BISA Board only closes the fields if there is a chance they will be damaged (standing water, new grass) or during lightning storms. The referees and Board Members at the fields will delay games due to thunder and lightning and cancel them if the storm does not clear in enough time to hold the entire game. In addition to the simple rule of: "hear it, clear it. see it, flee it." BISA also owns a lightning detector that is also used during inclement weather. Parents, please stay with your children until a decision is made regarding the game. You can check field status by clicking here on the web www.bisasoccer.com or www.bisasoccer.com/m for mobile phones. |

| No Pets at the BISA complex - please! |
Fri, May 11, 2007
We love pets, but not on our fields. All pets are strictly prohibited at our complexes. We have experienced children injured by "small, well behaved pets on a leash." We have also experienced animals injured by running children and soccer balls. We will enforce this prohibition. Games will not be started or continued until animals are removed from the complex.
Thanks for everyone's cooperation. |

Misconducts and Violations of Players, Spectators, and Coaches |
Tue, Sep 20, 2005
Now that our soccer season is in full swing I would like to enlist your help to remind your players and parents/spectators of the Law of the Game regarding misconducts and violations. For players this means they can be cautioned with a yellow or red card and spectators and coaches can be required to leave the field of play. You can read more about the Laws at http://www.drblank.com/slaws.htm |
