BISA is proud to offer scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have shown dedication to our soccer community. There are three categories — applicants may apply for any they qualify for.    

Scholarship Types

• “The Ginger Mayfield-Jameson Player Scholarship” – For graduating seniors who have played three years/six seasons, either non-consecutive or consecutively, for BISA. (One scholarships available)

• “The Virginia “Ginny” Ciriot Referee Scholarship” – For graduating seniors who have officiated for BISA for at least three years/six seasons, either non-consecutive or consecutively. (One scholarships available)

• BISA Hero’s Scholarship – For graduating seniors whose parent/guardian has coached and/or volunteered for BISA for at least three years/six seasons, either non-consecutive or consecutively. (One scholarships available)
  
  

Application must be mailed by May 5 orsubmitted electronically by May 7. Recipients will be notified by May 15. Awards will be handed out during BISA’s May Day Madness Tournament on May 23. We would like you present at the award ceremony so please plan to attend.

Hardship Applications 

The BISA Board approved allocating a portion of our seasonal profits to assisting families experiencing financial hardship. We believe children who want to play soccer should have the opportunity to experience the joy of the sport, and financial constraints should not be a barrier to participation. Hardship applocations may be submitted during every Spring and Fall season while registration is open. If your family has previously applied, you are encouraged to submit a new application for each new season to be considered. We also understand that many families have multiple children participating. You are welcome to submit an application for more than one child. 

If registration costs are preventing your child or a player you are familiar with, from playing, we encourage you to complete and submit our financial assistance application. Submit your form to treasurer@bisasoccer.com.  All applications will be reviewed confidentially by our committee, which will verify eligibility and vote on approval.
