Game Schedules and Practice Questions
“HELP! I need our game schedule asap, why is it taking so long?!”
We completely understand how important schedules are for families. Trust us—we wish we could provide exact dates, times, and locations right away. Unfortunately, creating game schedules is a detailed process with many moving parts, and it is not something BISA can finalize independently.
Several factors go into scheduling, including:
- Field availability
- Referee availability
- Coach conflicts (many coach more than one team)
- Coordination with other associations
- Weather considerations
For U9 and older, MPA creates schedules for 6+ surrounding associations and 20+ teams across multiple cities and complexes. Our intention is never to withhold information—we are simply waiting on the process to be completed accurately and fairly.
How BISA Scheduling Works
U4–U8 (Birth years 2022–2018)
Schedules for our younger divisions cannot be finalized until U9+ schedules are released. Many of our coaches coach more than one team (for example, a U6 and a U10), and we must ensure we are not double-booking coaches or fields. This is just one of several reasons we are required to wait.
MPA U9+ (Birth years 2017 and older)
These schedules are created by MPA and must account for:
- Multiple associations
- Coaches with more than one team
- Multiple complexes
- Referees and field availability
This process takes time, and accuracy is critical to avoid conflicts later.
Please refer to our Spring Schedule Outline as a general guide until official schedules are finalized and released below

“HELP! I need to know our practice schedule asap!”
We understand that families need to plan ahead, but practice schedules cannot be set immediately.
At BISA, all coaches are volunteers, usually parents who generously donate their time. They are not paid, and the only compensation they receive is the ability to choose their practice days and times. Coaches cannot make this decision until:
- Teams are drafted
- Rosters are assigned
Some coaches may ask parents for input, while others may not—especially if they coach more than one team.
What to Expect for Practices
- Most practices take place at The Brick
- Most coaches choose Monday–Thursday
- Common start times are 5:30 PM or 6:30 PM
- Practices are typically 1 hour, though some coaches may run longer
- Coaches may also choose different locations, days, or times that best fit their schedules
Families will not receive official practice details until after the coaches’ meeting and roster distribution. You can expect practice information around February 14th
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide the best possible experience for our players, families, and volunteer coaches. Our goal is to create schedules that are fair, organized, and set everyone up for a successful season. For more information on how teams are formed please check out our FAQ page where we give a breakdown on how we draft/roster teams.
