Can my child return to the same team the following season? What if the coach isn't returning?
Yes, they can return to the team they were on previously! An explanation of the terms used in the registration process are below
"Returning to previous team" - staying with the team they played with the previous season
"New player to BISA" - Has never played soccer with Burleson Independent Soccer Association
"Redraft off previous team" - Would like to be placed on A NEW team for upcoming season
We will allow a child to sit out for a season, for example some players choose to play soccer in the fall and baseball in the spring and then return to their team. Players who return after one season off can rejoin their team as long as there is room on the team. Even after missing one season, players may need to join a new team if their former team does not have space on the roster. We will not remove a player from a team to make room for a player who sat out for a season.
What if we want to return to our previous team but the coach isn't coming back?
Returning to your previous team is no problem. If most of the players return the following season, we can keep the team together. We would just need a volunteer to step in and take over as coach! Please be sure to include this information during registration in the "Notes for Commissioner" section.
